Helping Leaseholders Regain Control of Their Homes and Investments

Helping Leaseholders Regain Control of Their Buildings and Long-Term Value

I’m Maura Walsh, an RTM specialist and leaseholder advocate working with resident directors and leaseholders who are dealing with mismanagement, inflated service charges, safety failures, and buildings that feel impossible to fix.

With over 25 years in senior leadership and more than 15 years operating in the UK property sector, I specialise in guiding leaseholders through the full Right to Manage (RTM) journey, stabilising post-RTM operations, challenging unreasonable charges, rebuilding compliance frameworks, and preparing robust evidence for dispute and tribunal processes.

My Journey from Social Care to Property Expertise

My property journey began in 2008 when I became an accidental landlord and quickly uncovered the challenges that so many leaseholders face:

  • Poor and inconsistent building management

  • Spiralling, unjustified service charges

  • Lack of transparency from managing agents

  • Essential repairs are being delayed or overpriced

Determined to take control, I developed expertise not just in the Right to Manage (RTM) process, but also in supporting leaseholders through tribunals, helping clients sell properties quickly and stress-free, and delivering high-quality renovations that add value and improve liveability.

Today, I bring all of that experience together to provide leaseholders and homeowners with practical, trusted solutions across RTM, leasehold advocacy, property sales, and renovations.

Since founding PM Renovations Ltd in 2018 and Your Home Now Ltd, Maura has:

  • Guided leaseholders through successful Right to Manage (RTM) claims, from eligibility checks and serving notices to post-acquisition management

  • Supported leaseholders with advocacy and tribunal representation, helping to challenge unfair service charges and better understand complex lease agreements

  • Helped homeowners sell their properties quickly and stress-free, providing confidential, no-obligation cash offers with no fees, no viewings, and no chains

  • Delivered high-quality property renovations that add value, improve liveability, and are completed on time and within budget

How I Work

My approach is built on three pillars:

Transparency

I explain complex legal and procedural steps in plain English, so you’re never left confused or uncertain.

Collaboration

I work closely with leaseholders, resident management companies, and professional advisors to achieve the best outcome.

Action

My goal is always practical results — from lowering costs to securing safer, better-managed buildings.

Who I Help

I work with leaseholders who want to take control of their building through RTM or challenge unfair service charges, Resident Management Companies (RMCs) needing compliance or tribunal support, property investors and freeholders seeking expert guidance on leasehold law, block management, or selling properties quickly, as well as homeowners looking to add value and improve liveability through high-quality renovations.

Beyond Property

When I’m not helping clients take back control of their buildings, I’m often mentoring others in the property sector, speaking at leaseholder forums, or contributing to discussions on leasehold reform. My work is driven by one goal — empowering people to have more control, transparency, and fairness in property ownership.
